Mulmur Township with its hills, valleys,
Niagara Escarpment outcroppings, has it all in terms of natural
beauty. We have not been chewed to pieces by rampant development,
and with the Airport Road at the east, and County Rd 124, (old Hwy
24), on the west, one can drive up north and not even be aware of
the incredible scenery that lies between these two north/south roads
north of Hwy 89.
We are an hour from Toronto International Airport,
an hour from Brampton, half an hour from Collingwood, and the same
from Alliston, Stayner and Orangeville. Barrie is 45 minutes to
the east.
We have good fishing in the Pine and Boyne Rivers, downhill skiing
at Mansfield, Devil's Glen Country Club is a short drive into Clearview
Twp, and the trip to the Collingwood ski hills is not a long one.
Cross-country skiing with groomed trails
is found at the Mansfield Outdoor Centre, and the Bruce Trail runs
through the Township for the hiking enthusiast.
For the equestrians, hundreds of acres of Dufferin
County forest provide hours of quiet riding, as do the many seasonal
roads within the Township.
Good golfing can be found at 8 courses within
a half hour from the Mulmur hills. The village of Creemore, just
north of Mulmur in neighboring Clearview Township, is a delightful
place to buy groceries, browse in the nifty specialty shops, dine
or visit the Creemore Brewery.
See the Creemore link for more information on
that special Village
